Offering realestate.com.au app users the fastest way to apply for properties

Thanks to their renter profile, people can apply on the go. Everything is saved for later — or for subsequent applications.

Challenge

Most tenants find their new rental via realestate.com.au app. Before this project, users had to leave the app to apply on the third-party website 1form. This handover to a website was confusing and did not offer a great user experience.

Solution

The new application process can be fully completed from within the app. People can prepare and optimise their renter profile before even attending inspections. Data-entry is mobile optimised for iOS and Android. The number of questions and fields was dramatically reduced to make things even easier to fill out.

My role

• Low-fi and mid-fi wireframes to define scope and requirements
• Definition of all userflows
• Detailed visual and interaction design for iOS and Android in Figma
• Extension of REA design sytem components
• Facilitation of 30/60/90 reviews with company stakeholders
• Development support throughout delivery phase
